Two Joys

Time to share lemon-drops of joy!

My first May Joy is this ray of sunshine:

Could she be cuter?
And can you see the spikes?
And will she forgive me when she's older? :)

My second May Joy is this newly tilled garden:

Oh, the possibilities . . . :)

  1. She IS adorable, I love the spikes, and yes, she will forgive you. My daughter (18) has yet to hold any photos against me....too much.
    : )
Gearing up for some serious gardening myself this week....hopefully....enjoy!

  2. Ah... my little skate-boarder chick.

I promise you, it was a total accident that we made you look that way. It was not deliberate. Please do not start roaming the streets annoying old people and frightening nice kids.

But you have to love how there is a picture of your shoe on your shirt.

  3. Spikes are always in! She won't forgive you because she won't think it's necessary. She will likely show this picture off and tell everyone "my parents were so cool, I had spiked hair way before the rest of you!" One of my favorite baby pictures is me with a mohawk. They did it at the hospital trying to get a feeding tube in my head. Weren't successful on one side so they had to shave the other and stick it in there. I love the pictures from my first Christmas and tell people my parents did it intentionally. :-) She is absolutely adorable and so is her outfit!

I wish I had garden! I'm so jealous of my friends who do. My grandpa was a big time gardener. It skipped my mom - she has two very black thumbs. The woman can kill a fake plant! I wish that I had paid more attention to my grandpa's instructions when I would spend summers in their backyard, but I was more interested in the pool than how to grow your yellow squash and how to know when to pick it. Your blank canvas is very inspiring! What will you grow? Flowers or fruits or vegetables or a combination? How fun!
